iPredict+ Greg Rostami Theory11

This is a re-release of the original version of this app. It has some much needed improvements over the first version. Firstly the addition of being able to text message the psychic instead of having to make a phone call.
There is also another psychic you can add for an additional fee that will predict numbers.
BUT
I am getting a little ahead of myself

The idea behind this trick is as follows.
You approach a group of spectators and ask them if they believe in psychics, most people will answer yes to this question. It does not matter what their answer is though, as you will proceed to explain that you recently met a REAL psychic, she is able to make real predictions and even read your mind.
You can even show them her business card.

You ask the spectator to simply THINK of a card, you pull out your iPhone and open up your contacts.
You then scroll down to Christen's contact info and open it up. Ask the spectator to name out loud the card they are thinking of, you can then show one of the other spectators that the number on the business card matches the one in your contacts list. Now it's time to either call or text Christen, you can even have the spectator use their own phone!
Their will be NO EXPLANATION for what happens next.
If you call Christen she will name the thought of card in her voicemail message.
If you text her she will respond with a text naming the thought of card.
I guarantee you will get good reactions with this trick.

Greg provides some excellent patter to get you started with performing.
Keep in mind though that your magic should always have a bit of you in it, it seems more natural that way.
It's always a good idea to use the patter provided with a trick as a guide that can be improvised on, to add your own spin or twist to.
This app is also cleverly disguised so that no one would ever find it, you can let people play around with your phone and they will never find the secret, it really is that good
.
Now for the downside...
There are a few negatives to consider with this app.
First the UI is a bit quirky and will take some practice to get it right the first time every time.
Second depending on where you live, long distance charges may apply to make the phone call required to perform this trick. As well if you don't have a texting plan you will be paying for your texts sent to Christen.
Mind you this is a nominal fee when you consider the impact of the trick.
I have also read user reviews stating that text messaging from over seas does not work, but I can't confirm that part as fact.

The other thing that bothers me is that the other psychic who predicts numbers from 1 to  75 costs an additional $2.99. Seems a bit steep to me, I think it should be included with the price of the app which is also $2.99 and can be purchased on the app store here.

Overall this is a great hard hitting trick that brings excellent reactions.
I give it 4 out of 5 stars

iForce iPhone app by Greg Rostami

iForce is extremely clever. The app is designed to act as a normal doodle app, there is no need to hide it as no one will ever figure out how to get to the secret hidden features of this brilliant interface.

The best feature by far about this trick is that it can be used for predicting absolutely anything!
Your imagination is the only limit to the possibilities for performance variations.
The premise for the trick is this...
You tell the spectator you are going to use the doodle app on your phone to write a prediction. You can even show them how the app is just an ordinary basic doodle application.
You can draw with your finger anything you like and erase it.
You then tilt the phone away so they cannot see the screen and you write your prediction.
After which you place the phone face down on the table. Now you ask the spectator to pull a coin from their pocket or purse, any coin they wish to choose. You tell them even though they think they have a free choice they are wrong, you are going to manipulate them to choose the coin you have written down as your prediction. When they reveal the coin they have pulled from their pocket you turn your iPhone face up to reveal that your prediction matches exactly the coin they chose.
The principal can literally be used to make predictions about anything you want.

I must admit the UI is a bit quirky at first and will take a bit of practice to master, but before long you will be amazing people with your incredible ability to predict everything!

You can have the spectator pick a number from 1 to 8, your prediction is right EVERY time.
Make a prediction of the outcome of 3 coins randomly tossed on the table, ie. heads heads tales.
Swing your hand around your phone, have the spec say stop and reveal an arrow pointing directly at the place where they told you to stop!

As I said earlier the only limits to your predicions are your ability to come up with ideas.

iForce can be purchased on the app store for $2.99 here.

At that price every magician should have this trick.
You would pay $30 or more for a single trick from a magic store.
I feel like I'm stealing getting such an incredible magic tool for just three dollars!

Probably not a shock that I am giving this trick 5 stars

Theory11.com Rising card App for iPhone

If I had reviewed this trick when it first came out like I should have...
It would have done very poorly, I don't think I would have given it more than a 1 star review.
It felt more like a cash grab on the infamous rising card trick than anything.
To be honest I was a little let down by Theory11, until now I was always impressed with the caliber of their products.
The springboard interface used for the app although clever (later copied by Ellusionist) was all but impossible to make it look right, and the trick nowhere near as amazing as I thought it should be.

However, they released an update and fixed the issues I had with this trick.
Despite this it still is not a miraculous trick in my mind, but it can be pretty shocking if performed the right way to the right audience. That said I still don't find myself compelled to perform this trick. It more or less just sits on my phone taking up memory space.

As I said I feel it is more of a novel or cool effect than an amazing unexplicable feat of magic.
Not really sure it is worth the $2.99 they are selling it for on the app store.

That said here is a stellar perfomance of this trick by Eric Leclerc. Check it out

As for the stars...I'm only going to give this trick 3

Ellusionist Premonition App for iPhone

Once again Ellusionist has outdone themselves with their latest app.
I would just like to start off by saying that this app is totally awesome!
The method is great the interface is perfect, the reactions speak for themselves.
With the right patter this trick can be performed as a real bonafide miracle.

The premise of the trick is that you ask the spectator to merely think of a card, you then proceed to make a prediction by pulling a card out of a deck. You place the prediction on the table and then ask the spectator what the card is that they are thinking of.
When they say the name of the card you are shocked, you place your prediction back into the deck, pull out your iPhone and play a voicemail message you left yourself the day before naming the card they just thought of.

This makes a great closing trick as everyone will be totally blown away by what just happened.
Trust me it plays out well!

The whole trick is completely disguised so no one will ever suspect a thing during your presentation.
Everything can be personalized which makes it feel organic and natural like your just pulling out your phone and playing a voicemail message.

The only downside is the setup takes a bit of time investment. Don't worry it is definately worth it, I spent about an hour and a half to get everything all ready. That is nothing when you think about how long it can take to master a difficult sleight, heck I still struggle to make my pass smooth and quiet.
Once you are set up the trick is almost completely self working!

What more could you ask for?
A completely amazing magic trick that can almost perform without you...
For only $2.99 on the App store here
